2. Endourology and Stone Disease

• ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy): Breaking kidney and upper ureter stones from outside the body.

• Ureterorenoscopy (URS) and Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS): Removal of kidney and urinary tract stones by breaking them with lasers using thin, flexible ureteroscopes. A closed method.

• Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL): Removal of large and complex kidney stones by creating a small channel through the back into the kidney.

• Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) or Laser Vaporization for Prostate Enlargement (BPH): Gold standard surgical treatments. Offer significantly less bleeding and more comfortable recovery compared to open surgery.
